Ashley is a MHSc student in Health Sciences at Lakehead University under the supervision of Dr. Rebecca Schiff. She completed her BSc (Honours) in Medical Sciences at Lakehead University in 2019. Her research interests centre on health equity and the health of Indigenous communities, particularly experiences within the healthcare system and health service pathways. For her master’s thesis, she is examining the barriers to culturally safe care for Indigenous Peoples in Canada and Māori of Aotearoa/New Zealand through key informant interviews. She is excited to be working as part of the At Home in the North team as a research coordinator for Dr. Rebecca Schiff.
