Master’s candidate, Jenine Otto, is launching a photo campaign to centre your voices and experiences in research on the intersection of housing and climate change in the North!
This is an open call for those interested to submit photographs, along with a brief description and approximate location of each photo, capturing your observations on the overlap between climate and housing!
This campaign is a component of Jenine’s master’s thesis “Construction Foundations; Reimaging Housing Policy to Account for the Climate Crisis Across Inuit Nunangat”. Jenine is in the geography department at Memorial University and is supervised by Dr. Julia Christensen and Dr. Arn Keeling.
The parameters of participation are as follows:
-Photographers will contact Jenine Otto at jotto@mun.ca if they wish to participate or have any questions
-Photographers will capture up to 5 photos centering around climate change and housing and what this looks like in their lives.
–The deadline to volunteer is February 20th, 2023 and the deadline to submit photographs is April 10th, 2023.
Participants will be offered a $50 honorarium upon the submission of their photographs. We will be taking a maximum of 15 photographers for this campaign, so get in touch as soon as you can!
Don’t hesitate to contact Jenine with any questions.
