Kenneth Coates is Tier I Canada Research Chair in Regional Innovation at the Johnson-Shoyama Graduate School of Public Policy, University of Saskatchewan campus. Coates has long-standing professional and personal engagements with Indigenous and northern communities and has worked on a range of themes relating to northern governance, policy and community development. He is a key participant in the Governance, Policy and Self-Determination focus area.
