Through the production of case studies and webinars we will highlight existing, contextually-relevant, and innovative northern community design and housing construction projects. We will co-develop a framework to assess existing built environments and apply that framework to collect information on innovative projects using photovoice and digital storytelling methodologies. We will collect examples of the ways in which northerners have added to or adapted their homes by launching a ‘hack photovoice’ through social media. Finally, we will develop descriptive, visual, video and audio representations of northern-specific models for community design and the built environment.
